And it's getting better - with a splash of gold and bronze here and there for a change, and a fabulous 'two silk flower' tiara with my handmade leaves - my 1st attempt at incorporating silk flowers and I love the outcome. Then there is the 'half Ice Queen' tiara and finally, a small hairpiece or button hole using little ivory coloured feathers and two hand crocheted lilies. A gorgeous comb filled with Swarovski crystals and Swarovski crystal pearls in cream colour. This is ideal to slide into the side of an updo, or to wear in the side of your hair, or on the top of a half up, half down hairdo (like Pippa Middleton did it). The side tiara is full of handmade frosted leaves with a handmade centre piece made from Swarovski crystals and with more Swatovski crstals used to 'tip' the leaves.

The side tiara with leaves uses a vintage diamante centre piece and the fabulous little crown contains all Swarovski crystal flowers on silvery stems. The 'Juliet cap' is also created using all Swarovski crystals. I will enter another blog to show more examples.

This crown Is a wild and wonderful thing of beauty. An unusual design, it is made up of cream glass pearls. The pearl stems represent lots of spikey icicles. It would look great with your hair all in a mess, piled inside the crown, backcombed, frizzy or lots of texture.

The first of these photographs shows this gorgeous little crown as is should be worn and the second has the 'stems' swept upwards, to allow you to the the actual crown in more detail. This crown is in silver and pink and the whole piece is given a frosted effect with hundreds of tiny seed beads with an AB finish. The crown and stems are all made from tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire and the stems have a mixture of crystals, pearls, flowers and leaves in various shades of pink and silver. I have used a lot of Swarovski crystals on this piece so it sparkles from every angle. I have also used: fresh water pearls, glass pearls, rose quartz, lucite flowers and leaves in frosted pink and pearly white. Each of the larger peaks on the crown is finished with a large Swarovski AB teardrop crystal and as well as the stems, all of the peaks are bound with silver plated wire and crystals, pearls etc.

The crown is fitted with a comb and three loops, to secure when worn. The loops can easily be tucked out of sight if not required.

Anyone who is fun-loving and wanting to add a bit of pink to their special day should seriously consider this crown.

Unfortunately, the image for this piece is not good enough. This little comb, with a vintage diamante brooch at its centre, and further embellished with large vintage crystals set on tarnish resistant silver plated copper stems, is simple, yet absolutely 1st class elegance. The overall effect is an art deco style and the whole piece sparkles incessantly. This piece is not heavy and simply slips into place with any type of hairdo.

This necklace bears a gorgeous sterling silver and Marcasite pendant - this is a vintage piece that was originally a dress clip, all in tact with none of the Marcasite stones missing - very sparkly. The remainder of the necklace is made up of cream glass pearls in two sizes and some tiny freshwater pearls in peacock colour. These contrast really well with the vintage pendant. The clasp is sterling silver and there is an extension chain decorated with pearl dangles - see detail on photo.
The earrings are made from beautiful quality sterling silver ear wires (described as Creme de la Creme by my supplier) that have a little Bali silver bead incorporated. The same glass and freshwater pearls have been used to create the dangles. All my hook style earrings come with little plastic backs suppied - these ensure that the earrings will not fall out. PLEASE NOTE: As this necklace has a vintage piece on it, there can only ever be one making this unique and extra special. I may be able to acquire similar vintage pieces for future jewellery, but this particluar necklace cannot be duplicated.

This is an especially glamourous bracelet with a vintage twist - please click on the picture to see a close-up of this item's beauty. I have included, as the focal point a lovely oval vintage brooch that is all intact. The brooch is extremely sparkly as it contain lots of clear, round and dark purple, oblong diamates. There are four strands of quality glass pearls in a lilac shade and the bracelet is finished with a multi-strand, rhodium plated clasp and an extender chain bearing several purple crystals and lilac pearls (see photo). This bracelet would suit a bride or mother of the bride and would work particularly well with a contrasting colour for evening wear or any special occassion. This item is a one-off design because of the vintage brooch and therefore cannot be replicated.

This is a silver-tone alice band side tiara - like many of my others, it has a vintage feel. On the alice band the focal point is a vintage silver coloured brooch in the shape of a flower head. The brooch is all intact so could be removed as a keepsake when the tiara has served its purpose. There is a cluster of diamantes in the centre of the brooch and each petal also bears diamantes. I have created lots of silvery stems around the brooch. These bear either Swarovski and Preciosa crystals in three shades of blue or some tiny fire polished crystals in pale blue with a silvered coating. The remainder of the alice band has been covered with tiny seed beads in a dark metalic blue, intersperced with some of the same blue crystals. This tiara is ideal for anyone looking for something lighter and less fussy. It would suit a bride or bridesmaid.

Lots of choice about how to wear this necklace. This is a 32 icnh silver coloured chain with large oval links and a toggle clasp. When worn as a long necklace the clasp is not in use. However, due to the length, this necklace can be worn with the chain doubled as the large link above the pendant forms part of the clasp. Now for the detail. The pendant is a lovely quality oval, finished in silver around the outside and inside edges, but enamelled with cream on one side and pink on the other, thus giving you a choice depending on the outfit. Hnaging inside the oval pendant is a large Swarovski crystal - clear in colour with an AB finish for extra sparkle, and a cream coloured Swarovski crystal pearl. Between the pearl andthe crystal are several little dangles - again Swarovski pearls and crystals and each with a little silver coloured twirl. The wire used to create this centre piece is tarnish resistant silver plated copper. Continuing up the first few links of the chain are more of the pearl and crystal twirls and this is repeated at the back of the chain so that, when worn doubled, the necklace remains symetrical.
So to summarise, this can be a long or short necklace and can also be cream or pink and cream (due to the cream pearls) at the front.

This gorgeous necklace measures 17 inches plus a further 6 inches for the Swarovski pearls and Chinese crystal pendant so in all this is a 23 inch piece. If the overall length is too long for your taste, I can easily shorten it by looping the row of pearls up, shortening the overall length by around one inch.
The necklace comprises a super quality chain sterling silver chain with lobster clasp and large oval rings at the start of 6 clear teardrop crystals. The pendant is a one and a half inch long, sparkly Chinese crystal pendant embelished with sterling silver twirls. The pendant is attached to the necklace by a row of several Swarovski pearls in cream colour (this is a light cream shade). These pearls are joined together by sterling silver wire. This is an unusual and very beautiful bridal piece, but one which can continue to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.

This lovely childs tiara is set on a silvertone band measuring 8cm wide, with a comb fitted for a good grip. The tiara has nine stems bearing Preciosa crystals in light rose colour and clear, czech fire polished crystals. The stems are graduated, with the tallest meaqsuring 3cm in height. This is a fabulous tiara that I made to show that vintage style does not mean you have to wear a side tiara. This design has a diamante encrusted centre-piece, and each side of that, flowing 'ribbons' made from hand-woven bugle beads with a silvery mirror finish. The alice band upon which all of this sits is a silver tone and the band itself, plus the centre piece, contains 'crystal silver' coloured Swarovski crystals. Here is another fabulously sparkling side tiara set on a sivlertone alice band. The large focal flower is hand crocheted in tarnish resistant, silver plated copper wire. The flower bears lots of Swarovski crystals and each petal is edged with tiny AB finish seed beads to give the frosted effect. This is a beautiful vintage design comb measuring almost 5 inches in length and ideal for fitting down the side of a French pleat. The piece contains cream Swarovski pearls and 'black diamond' coloured Swarovski crystals. These accompany a lovely Art Deco brooch that is a Czec, silver tone piece (all in tact so could be removed from the comb later). The age of the brooch means that what were originally probably clear diamantes are now a lovely pale champagne colour, and still sparkling. A one off design that cannot be repeated.

This double band tiara is a comfortable hand-made band bearing only Swarovski crystals, with a single, larger teardrop crystal in the centre. I can remove this if not required.) The sparkle of these crystals has meant I could not capture the piece with clarity. The design is meant to be worn across the forehead, just the way Tallula did it in Bugsy Malone.

This is an original design Calla Lily side tiara - similar to the one shown below. The difference is that this tiara bears two hand-crocheted lilies, each covered with a mass of AB coated seed beads and with a base made from lots of Swarovski crystals. The tip of each flower bears clusters of even smaller AB coated seed beads to give a frosted effect. The flowers' swirling stamens bear Swarovski crystals and seed beads. The head band, which is also hand-made from silver plated copper wire, is very comfortable to wear, having no tension around the back of the wearer's ears. For security the headband is fitted with a silvertone comb behind the lilies and the whole headband is covered with hundreds of the same AB coated seed beads. This design sparkles continuously, owing to the silver plated wire used to create the lilies, and the beads chosen for the design. As such, it is difficult to capture its true beauty. The tiara is designed to wear the flowers on the left side of the head.

This is a superb tiara - an original design. It is made up of a hand-made, silver plated copper band that is fully bound with silver-plated copper wire - all tarnish resistant. On the band sits a beautiful Calla lilly. The lilly has been created by hand crocheting very fine silver plated wire with over a hundred little glass pearls in a very light cream colour. On the tip of the lilly there are heaps of tiny AB finish seed beads - this makes it look like the edges are frosted. Unusually, this lilly has three stamens, each bearing an assortment of AB finish Swarovski crystals and more of the tiny seed beads. The stamens have some flexibility and can be arranged either standing high or lying fairly flat against the flower - they are a stunning addition. The base of the lily is bound with silver plated wire, and lots of small, AB finish Swarovski crystals. Overall, the softness of the lilly and the sparkle of the crystals make this tiara an outstanding headpiece for any bride, and one that you will not find anywhere else.
The headband on this tiara is very comfortable with loops at the ends for attaching an elastic or ribbons if desired. A comb can also be added if it is felt extra security is needed, but this has not been done until the wearer decides which side the tiara will be worn on as the design allows for either right or left hand side.

This is a large comb (almost 5 inches long) in silver tone finish and embellished with lots of crystals and special jewellery clay flowers. There are two 'flowers' created with sparkling teardrop crystals, two beautiful clay roses with a light cream pearlised finish, three large Swarovski crystals with AB finish, several little pearlised trumpet flowers, each bearing Swarovski crystal stamens and finally, lots of gorgeous AB finish tiny seed beads, giving a slightly frosted appearance to the piece. They are an ideal way to attach a hair vine, crown or tiara if needed. They blend exactly with the hair vines I make and look far better than plain brown hair pins. There are two examples using Swarovski crystal and one example using pearls and flowers with a pearlised finish in the photographs.

The crown is covered with metres of gold plated, tarnish resistant wire, Swarovski crystals, rock crystal, carnelian, bronze coloured freshwater pearls and a few glass drop beads in amber and amethyst colours. Amongst the peaks are heaps of golden branches of varying lengths, intertwined to create the effect of jewelled grass, winding its way through and around the crown. These branches are flexible and can be altered to suit the wearer, with some perhaps woven into your hair if desired. This lovely 'Art Deco' style, side tiara is based on a silvertone alice band. The sparkling, flowing 'ribbons' are made from mirror glass bugle beads and the centre piece is a beautiful diamante flower shape. This was a brooch in a former life and I have embellished it further with Swarovski crystals around the centre point. The remainder of the headband has been covered with heaps of little mirror glass seed beads. The tiara is designed to be worn on either side of the head and can be placed forward almost right against the forehead, or further back. It lies quite flat against the face, giving no added height to the wearer as the only parts that rise up are the ends of the 'ribbons', which curl up very slightly. It is suitable for a number of hairstyles. A one-off design - you saw it here first!!

This side tiara is designed to create a vintage look. There are four leaves, each covered with Swarovski crystals, beautiful AB finish seed beads and silver lined bugle beads. Each leaf also bears a number of stunning, large round Swarovski crystals with AB finish - reminiscent of huge raindrops. The Marquesite centre piece amongst the leaves has a sparkling, art noveau style - originally a brooch, and has been further embellished with Swarovski crystals. There are three stems, each bearing a Swarovski 'long bicone' crystal and several smaller crystals. The headband is very comfortable, without the tight grip that comes with some metal headbands. It is made from sturdy, silver plates copper wire, covered in hundreds of AB finish seed beads. The wire used throughout the design is also silver plated copper and two distinct finishes have been chosen - antique silver and shiny silver, to add further interest and help create the vintage feel.
This tiara is a stunning original creation. It should be worn with the leaves falling across the forehead and cheek as shown on the model and is suitable for a variety of hairstyles. Watch out for further designs with this look.

This full crown is created on a silvertone circular headband bearing an abundance of sparkling Swarovski crystals in a variety of sizes around the band and on all seven peaks. This is an absolutely delightful little crown, made on a tiny circular, silvertone band with attached comb. On this example, I have used sparkly acrylic beads in a mixture of colours, to keep the crown lightweight, if used for a child. Having the comb attached means this tiara can be worn tilted on the side of the head, without fear of losing it. With acrylic beads, which could be in a single colour or any combination of colours you want, this is a most unusual and visually stunning headpiece for a flower girl, but with real crystals, it could just as easily be worn by the Bride herself. The model in these pictures is a full size ladies head and as you can see, the crown does not look too minature for an adult.

These are two beautiful hair vines, each one different, but using similar materials. There are Swarovski crystals, ivory coloured pearls, mother of pearl, a couple of silver-foil lined, glass tube beads and pearlised flowers and leaves in the shorter vine - measuring eleven inches(including the two small loops for attaching to your hair). The longer vine, which measures fourteen inches, has more twisted stems and contains: Swarovski crystals; AA quality Rock crystal beads; ivory coloured pearls, the same glass tubes with silver foil lining and some pearlised flowers and leaves. The Swarovski crystals, silver lined tubes and rock crystal all add plenty of sparkle to each piece.
The tarnish resistant, silver plated copper wire, used to construct these hair vines is quite robust and can be carefully manipulated into the desired shape. Both items are ideal for weaving through your hair, around a bun or other up-do, or laying down the side of a French pleat. They can also be used as a headband or hairband, by pinning in place using the end loops. Other colours can be used for a hair vine, or you could choose all crystals or all pearls. Prices would depend on materials used.

This is a gorgeous stick pin brooch that is suitable to be used as a ladies button- hole. It is made from freshwater pearls in lilac and cranberry colours, two 'stems' created using little twisted glass tubes with a silver foil lining to give some sparkle. There is also one stemm with a glass pearl teardrop, also in lilac colour. A few goose biot feathers have been added for effect. All are bound together using tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.

Who needs an 'up do' with a tiara like this!!! This stunning side tiara has beautiful flowing lines and looks great with any hairstyle. Like a gentle breeze blowing through a cornfield, the silvery stems and fine twisted leaves all contain Swarovski crystal rounds in various sizes and Swarovski crystal flowers, with a small quantity of rock crystal and Czech fire polished beads included. There are also three tiny hearts, each with a copper coating - gleeming against the sparkle of the crystals and representing those three little words 'I Love You'. The remainder of the tiara band, until it disappears into your hair, is covered with tiny AB coated glass seed beads, which sparkle almost as much as the crystals. The leaves and stems are formed with quality silver plated copper wire. I have included a view from the side, to give an idea of how the tiara will look, with stems flowing across the tiara band as well as back and forward of it. The highest point measures 2 inches from the band but this can be reduced by very gently pressing the stems down towards the band.

This stunning tiara is set on a silver tone (alice style) headband. Sparkle is an understatement with this gorgeous headpiece. The design is created with lots of twisted stems, each one containing at least one little crystal, either clear or in 'old rose' colour and some of which are quality rock crystals. The base of the headband is also set with crystals. The highest point measures 35mm and this gradually decreases to 15mm at the ends. This bridal coronet is set on a circular silvertone headband. There are five peaks, the tallest measuring 55mm high and the shortest measuring 35mm high. Each sparkling peak is made from sturdy, silver plated copper wire and is set with lots of pearls and crystals, glittering amongst silvery webs. Between the peaks are more pearls and crystals, set on delicate twisted stems. The base of the coronet is also set with pearls and crystals. This sublime set has been specially made on commission. The set comprises a multi-strand necklace and bracelet, a single strand Swarovski crystal bracelet and a pair of fabulous earrings.

The multi-strand pieces each have gorgeous Bali silver fancy clasps and the beads are Swarovski crystals and crystal pearls. There are lots of little very effective 'twirls', also containing pearls or crystals, to add even more sparkle.

The single strand crystal bracelet has a sterling silver clasp.

The matching earrings are made from sterling silver ear hoops, set with cubic zirconia and several strands of wired pearls and crystals.

The wire used to join the beads together is tarnish resistant, silver plated copper.

This set is made in a similar style to the Amanda set shown on the site. The main difference is that this is a single strand necklace, rather than the 5-strand Amanda style. I wanted to show that this necklace looks beautiful in any number of strands.

The necklace is made from Swarovski pearls (light cream rose colour) and clear crystals, all wired together using tarnish resistant, silver plated copper wire. Matching earrings have long dangles of Swarovski pearls and crystals, hung on super quality sterling silver ear wires with Bail silver bead detail. These earrings could be created as clip-on style if required.

This is another example of crocheted jewellery, using tarnish resistant, silver plated copper wire. This time I have used Czech fire polished beads in crystal clear colour, Rock crystal and cream coloured glass pearls. The fancy clasp is made from copper that has been heavily plated with 925 silver. Having made this nacklace I have been able to calculate the cost of a similar one using only Swarovski pearls and crystals and a sterling silver clasp.

Here are some examples of my crocheted jewellery range. The pieces shown are in a lovely pale green and pink (including Peridot and Rose Quartz); gorgeous shades of blue (including Lapis Lazuli and Blue Lace Agate) and dark red (using mainly Garnet chips). I can make similar pieces in any colourway and the stones used are always a combination of semi precious stones and freshwater pearls, usually with a few quality Czech glass beads and crystals included. I use quality clasps and bead cones to finish all my pieces and the wire used to crochet is made from silver plated copper. These necklaces and bracelets hang beautifully due to the weight of the beads (over 400 in a necklace). I have placed these items 'Mother of the Bride' range, but they could just as easily be worn by a bride who has chosen a less tranditional bridal outfit. Necklaces can be made in any length you require.

Prices range from £12 to £15 for a bracelet and around £20 for a necklace, depending on length and stones chosen.
